At The Birth Project, we personally understand that every life- no matter how brief- leaves a lasting mark. Between us, we have experienced 5 full-term births and 4 miscarriages (including 2 missed miscarriages, a molar pregnancy and an anembryonic pregnancy). It can be a complicated and painful journey when trying for a baby and the difficulty doesn't always stop just because you see that positive test.
After a loss, particularly in early pregnancy, you can be left with very few reminders of the precious life you were growing. The baby you imagined kissing on their birthday was stolen from you before you even got a chance to meet them. We wanted to find a way to remember all that we have lost, BUT also importantly, the hope we hold still.

Please note:
Due to the cutting and shaping process it is possible that the glass may have some tiny imperfections- these are limited to the edges and do not have any impact on the beautiful rainbow-making properties of our suncatchers.

Our backing card is printed on seeded paper made from recycled cotton. The sheets we use are embedded with bee-friendly flower seeds, such as Sweet Alyssum, Baby's Breath, Poppy, Rudbeckia & Cosmos.
Planting instructions for the paper
1. In Spring or Summer, when the frosts have stopped, soak the paper in water and tear up into smaller pieces.
2. Place in a pot of compost and sprinkle more compost over the top.
3. Keep the soil moist, but not soaking wet in a light and warm spot, preferably indoors.
4. Once your seeds have sprouted, place the pot outside or keep on a windowsill in lots of sun.
